Welcome!
My name is Christina Minasian and I am a multi-disciplinary artist inspired by the materials I find. Whether sourcing goods from nature, vintage shops, public domain archives, or supply houses, gathering the materials to be used in the finished pieces is an integral and inspirational part of my work. The experiences, places, paths, and people I encounter along the way all become a part of my creations.
I create mixed media art including both analog and digital collage, assemblage, and jewelry. Each medium allows me to tap into and satisfy my expansive, artistic curiosities. Being immersed in the act of creation holds deep value. This state allows me to explore, experiment, grow, and heal. The creative process is meditative, introspective, and intentional: influenced by years of yoga and meditation practices. The end product is a physical manifestation of the joining of my inner and outer worlds. Each piece is designed to bring joy and beauty into the world.
I take time to be in nature, observing and collecting. It is rare for me to not come home with feathers, sticks, heart-shaped stones, or other odds and ends I find interesting. I also gather lots of pictures: textures of tree bark, patterns in clouds, earthy colors of lichen clinging to rock, rusty metal, weathered paint… as well as plenty of photos of my furry companions. When I am not in the art or yoga studio, or outside hiking, you can find me scouting for unique items at secondhand shops.
